In software engineering, web applications are those applications that users may use gaining access to a web server through the Internet or through an Intranet, by a browser. In other words, it is a software or application that is codified in a language supported by web browsers (HTML, JavaScript, Java, etc.), in which execution is left to the browser. As a significant advantage, we may highlight its exact behaviour, independent from the operating system, browser, server, etc.

The web interfaces have certain limits in the functionalities offered to the user. There are common functionalities in the desktop applications, which are not supported by the standard web technologies. In Arcadia Suite, after a thorough development, we have reached a usability level which is very close to the desktop applications, respecting the 'on line' spirit .

We have wished to back up all of the above, complying with the current standards, both in the development language, in which the code has been validated through the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and in those referring to our business, such as PCATS, from which we are members since 2006.

Arcadia Suite is a collection of applications focused on the industries of service stations, convenience stores and centres for the distribution of fuel.

Arcadia Suite has been designed to operate in WEB environments, and one of its main characteristics is the accessibility by a browser from any computer, WAP or PDA phone with real time processes.

Besides, there has been a special emphasis on the usability as a key factor of productivity, using the most advanced technology in design.

What makes Arcadia Suite really different?
Its real time integration with the Point of Sale Systems (POS) of Avalon Informática y Servicios and other manufacturers with PCATS certification; this means that the sales and other transactions are integrated on real time.

What do I need to begin working with Arcadia Suite?
I only need Open Pos and a broadband access. Therefore, it does not require additional investments in equipment, hardware or software.
